The Technical Department at Lucid is in the process of improving its expertise in the use of Microsoft development technologies. In the last 6 months, Technical Director David Laing has upgraded his existing MCAD qualification to a full Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) while recent recruit Neil Turner has qualified as a Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD). These qualifications reflect the Technical Department’s familiarity with the latest development trends and their competence in the use of the Microsoft .NET Platform.
The recruitment policy for Lucid’s Technical Department has always included a requirement for extensive tertiary education qualifications. However, we recognise that the possession of a university degree does not automatically imply that one’s technical skills are up to date. With this in mind, it is the policy of the technical department to provide continuous training and development in the technologies most frequently used in the provision of the Lucid Technology Platform.
The Microsoft .NET Framework is the development platform of choice for most of Lucid’s technology offerings, making the acquisition of additional .NET qualifications a logical choice.
“The Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) for Microsoft .NET credential is the top-level certification for advanced developers who design and develop leading-edge enterprise solutions, using Microsoft development tools and technologies as well as the Microsoft .NET Framework.”
