Lucid has been commissioned by RSSB to develop an online guide on safety critical communications for the rail industry.

The project follows research conducted by the human factors consultancy Human Engineering. The research looked into front line staff’s experiences of using the safety critical communications protocols and attempted to identify improvements to the protocols.

The online communication guide will cover all aspects of safety critical communications, such as the phonetic alphabet, standard phrases and various types of emergency calls.
