Lucid Joins CSEC

CSEC1Lucid has become a member of the Child Safety Education Coalition (CSEC). The coalition promotes practical safety education that will help children and young people understand risks in their living and playing environment and develop skills to cope confidently.

CSEC’s ethos is that children’s lives should be made as safe as necessary; not as safe as possible. The organisation promotes learning by doing and encourages activities where children learn through participation.

Lucid is currently working with CSEC to review a standard that CSEC is developing for evaluating educational resources. Our input is voluntary and not paid for – but we believe our relationship with CSEC and their members will contribute to our work on producing educational resources on railway safety.

CSEC is a membership organisation funded by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) in partnership with the National Children’s Bureau (NCB) on behalf of the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF).
