The Presto model was developed on behalf of Network Rail by Mott MacDonald. Presto enables a user to model a given section of track with associated train services, and develop a detailed picture of the workload it places upon the signaller.
Lucid will implement an online version of Presto. Results will be displayed graphically and all project information stored in a database. The tool will be added to the existing Ergotools platform for use by Network Rail and its contractors.
